Stop timers

A stop timer ends playback for you, so the mix that eased you to sleep isn’t still running at 3 a.m.

Setting a timer

Open the sleep-timer control, choose a duration, and start playback. The countdown is visible while it runs, and you can cancel or restart it at any point without interrupting the audio.

Timer presets

Durations you use repeatedly can be kept as timer presets, so “45 minutes” is one tap rather than a dial-in every night. Timer presets are stored alongside — but independently of — your sound presets: any mix can run under any timer.

What happens at zero

When the timer expires, Ember Noise stops playback cleanly. Open the app the next morning and your blend is exactly where you left it — the timer stops the sound, not your mix.

On the Mac

The Mac app shows stop-timer status in the menu-bar controller, so you can glance at the remaining time — or cancel — without reopening the mixer window. See Ember Noise on Mac.
