Presets & automation
Saving a preset
A preset captures the whole state of your mix: the ember’s position, all four corner sound assignments, and every per-sound EQ curve. From the preset menu (tap the preset name under the EMBER wordmark):
- Save updates the current preset in place.
- Save As creates a new preset from the current mix.
- New starts from a blank slate.
An asterisk next to the preset name means the mix has unsaved changes.
Recalling and managing
Saved presets are listed at the top of the preset menu; the active one is checked. Tap any preset to load it — sounds, ember position, and EQ all snap to the saved state. Presets can be deleted from the same list, and sent to another device entirely — see Send to Device.
Automation
Automation drifts the ember on its own over a duration you choose, slowly morphing the blend without your hand on the screen — useful for easing from an alert daytime mix into something sparse enough to sleep to. Set the duration, start playback, and let the mix evolve.
Stop timers
Presets pair naturally with stop timers: load tonight’s preset, set a timer, and the audio winds itself down after you’re asleep.
