Getting started with Ember Noise

Ember Noise starts making sound in two gestures: press play, then drag.

The screen in front of you

When the app opens you see the mixer — a large square divided into four quadrants, with a sound name pinned in each corner and a glowing amber dot near the middle. That dot is the ember. Its position decides how much of each corner sound you hear.

Below the mixer are the play/pause button and the master volume slider. On iPad in landscape and on the Mac, the transport sits beside the mixer instead of below it — same controls, wider canvas.

First listen

1. Press play. All four corner sounds begin streaming in perfect loops.
2. Drag the ember. Pull it toward Rain and rain swells while the others recede; park it dead center for an even four-way blend; pin it into a corner to hear that sound alone.
3. Set your volume. The master slider rides on top of whatever blend you’ve made.

There is nothing to configure first, no account to create, and no download beyond the app itself — every built-in sound ships in the bundle and plays offline.
